Turkey Point is located on several miles sandy beach along the north shore of Lake Erie. The name of Turkey Point was from Lieutenant Governor John Graves Simcoe while travelling through this area in 1795 and seeing so many wild turkeys around. Now Turkey Point is well known by its sandy beach, Provincial park, and about 800 cottages in village.
